The standard Clapton involves a thinner gauge wire being wrapped around a thicker gauge wire. The large surface area of regular Clapton means that they are able to produce very quickly. As a result, they were commonly used for sub-ohm vaping.

A fused Clapton coil is slightly different to a regular Clapton. It is a type of atomiser coil that is made by wrapping a thin wire around a two or more thicker central wire. This creates a fused Clapton coil that is much more resistant to hot spots and produces better flavour than a traditional atomiser coil. Many vapers prefer fused Clapton coils for their great flavour and performance.

The staple coil gets its name from looking very similar to a staple. This is due to the multiple tightly wrapped ribbon wires that give it that familiar appearance. They have 8-10 flat wires which then have thinner wires wrapped more tightly around them. These coils are considered to be quite challenging to build at first, but the benefits can be worth it as they are a great coil and can provide an excellent DTL experience.

If you're using pre-made coils, the process is pretty simple. Start by unscrewing the top of your RBA, then remove the chimney and any other parts that are in the way. Next, take your coil and carefully insert it into the chamber, making sure that the wicks are properly positioned. Finally, screw everything back together and you're ready to vape!

Unwinding and rewinding your handmade coils can be time-consuming and frustrating, especially if you're new to the process. Pre-made coils are a great alternative for those who want to save time, but they can also be tricky to clean. 

Start by removing the coil from your vape tank. If it's difficult to remove, you can soak the coil in hot water for a few minutes to loosen it up. Next, rinse the coil with warm water. Be sure to remove any e-juice or gunk that may be clinging to the coil. Once the coil is rinsed, soak it in a cup of diluted vinegar or lemon juice for about 15 minutes. This will help to remove any built-up residue. After soaking, rinse the coil again with warm water and finally, dry burn the coil by firing up your vape and taking a few hits without inhaling. This will help to remove any residual moisture and prepare the coil for its next use.

Pre-made coils can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on how often you use your vape and the type of coil you have. If you vape frequently, you may need to replace your coils more often. Pre-made coils are a great option for people who don't want to build their own coils, or for those who want to save time.
